Perfect weather this morning as we headed out before daylight. We hit a deep bayou that drains into a big lake and worked the bottom contour until we got to the edge and set up. The tide was rising from the bayou into the lake and we were drifting live shrimp Carolina rigged into the lake. The speckled trout were hungry and ate them up. The specks were in the 14-18″ class and fat. We filled the box and headed back to the slip before 11 AM. Great trip in the Delacroix Marsh! We will be back at it tomorrow and will report. Good luck out there!
