Good fishing today out of the Delacroix marsh. After yesterdays mid day outside goose egg and no tide scenario, my guests agreed to the inside tour. We worked inner bayous early with artificial only. We picked up several trout and reds. The fish wanted the bait presented up current on the bottom. The water dirtied with the incoming tide and we moved to several other spots picking up one or two. We made a move to the outer edge of the marsh and got into a good redfish and flounder bite. These fish were hanging around a point of a big outer cove. The reds were up to 31″. This action slowed and we headed to a spot where a bayou empties into an outer lake. The trout were ready and biting every cast. We caught fast and furious for over an hour before the action died. Unfortunately, these fish were small and only a fraction made the box. The action was still fun! Artificial cocahoes in smoke and alvacado did the damage. The fish are stacked up on the edge of the bay awaiting the spawn. The weather looks good for the upcoming week. Get out early to avoid the heat. Good luck out there this week!
