Good fishing today in spite of the winds. The winds were 20K and the water was getting dirty so it started as a redfish day. My guests were catch and release and the reds were again stacked up in the outer bays. We worked live shrimp 3′ under a cork close to the grass working points and coves. The fish were solid reds in the 20-24″ class. We also got into the drum and sheepshead. All were released except for two deep hooked reds and a flounder. Scanning the bay from the red spot, I could see numerous flocks of seagulls working over shrimp. I suggested some school trout action and off we went to get in on the drift. It was bouncy and a quick drift, but the fish were in the 10-15″ class. Plenty of fun! The birds were thick in spite of the winds which was good because the flocks would break up quickly. The weather looks good towards the weekend and fishing the rig pattern will be on. Good luck out there!
